Payment, Orders, Shipping and FAQ
ORDERING AND PAYMENT
All orders must be placed via our website - no calls or emails can be processed.
As soon as your order is checked out you will be prompted for your email address, residential address and contact number.
If you place a order for collection please wait for a email from us to let you know you can collect.
Payment can only be made via our website (we use Payfast as our payment gateway).
Direct deposits at bank tellers & payment via EFT from your bank is not possible (we only use Payfast - the account number on our website belongs to Payfast not BeerLab).
Contact us on email@example.com if you have any problems making payment.
We accept Visa/Mastercard (you can use your debit or credit card) and Instant EFT.
Once you have made payment for your order (via the website) you will receive a order confirmation and a order number
If someone or a courier is collecting on behalf of you they MUST provide us with your order number. We cannot release a order without this.
Please make sure you check your order before leaving. Crushed grain cannot be refunded.
We hold stock of all the items on our website, so unless an item specifically says "Sold Out", we have it in stock.
Shipping is not free of charge. The options are 'Collection from BeerLab' which is free, shipping via Door to Door Courier, or you can request a custom courier quote.
The website will automatically calculate the shipping fee for you based on the combined volumetric weight of the the items ordered.
Couriered orders are dispatched daily. The courier collects at 15:00 daily - please ensure your order is placed by 12:00 to give us the best chance to get it collected by courier the same day.
As soon as your parcel is on its way you will receive tracking details.
IF YOU SEND YOUR OWN COURIER: We take no responsibility for any orders booked via your own courier. For security purposes goods will only be released if your courier can give us the order number. Waybills will not be filled in or parcels tracked. This is done at your own risk.
Couriered orders usually arrive within 2 to 4 working days. If you are outside of a major city it may take slightly longer. We can unfortunately not guarantee your parcel will arrive within 2 to 4 working days as this is dependent on the courier.
Please not that courier orders need to be paid in advance. There is no cash on delivery option.
Deliveries to farms and plots are unfortunately not possible. The courier requires a street number and name.
We do not accept Forex payments or send items internationally.
*If you need your parcel by a specific day please notify us as there are rare occasions where we cannot get all the orders dispatched the same day.
Namibia: We can send orders to Namibia. Please contact us on firstname.lastname@example.org to discuss your order and so that we can get a courier quote for you.
If you would like you grain crushed add the 'crush my grain' item to your order. (this can be found in the grain and partial mash section). We cannot crush specific quantities of grain at this time. The entire quantity ordered will be crushed by type/variety ordered.
*please note that we cannot crush grain purchased from another supplier, diy malted barley, unmalted or raw barley
RETURNS & WARRANTIES
Raw ingredients with a limited shelf life and that has to be kept refrigerated cannot be returned (this includes, hops, yeast, crushed malt, rennet, cultures etc)
If you fail to collect your order which includes perishable goods we will not issue a refund.
We unfortunately cannot return or issue warranties on home brewing equipment that has been used for commercial use.
