Liquid Malt Extract
Liquid malt extract (LME) is a concentrated, unfermented syrup made from malted barley. It is commonly used in homebrewing beer and also has applications in baking and cooking.
Used in extract brewing as a fermentable wort without having to work with grain.
LME can also be added to your wort to add mouth feel, flavour and increasing the ABV.
Liquid Malt Extract conversion:
- 1kg Malted Grain = 650kg Liquid Malt Extract (LME) = 500g Dry Malt Extract (DME)
