Phosphoric Acid 85% - Food Grade

  • Lower mash pH (recommended range 5.2 - 5.6)
    • Flavour neutral compared to lactic acid
  • Yeast health: It can be used to acid-wash yeast to remove or eliminate bacterial infections.
  • Cleaning: Phosphoric acid is used in cleaning solutions to remove "beer stone" and other deposits from brewing vessels and tanks.

NH Phosphoric Acid 85% is very concentrated—just a few drops can drop pH significantly.  It is recommended to dilute to 10% solution 

Dilution guide:

  • 11.6ml phosphroic acid 85% + 88.2ml water = 100ml phosphoric acid 10% solution

***Add only a few drops at a time into mash while continuously mixing.

***Always test pH after each addition to avoid overcorrection.

  • Work in a well-ventilated area and avoid inhaling vapors directly from the container.
