Black Rock Crafted Oatmeal Stout is brewed to deliver a rich and creamy stout experience with a deep, dark color. NZ Green Bullet hops are added at the boil to provide a moderate bitterness, perfectly balancing the robust malt profile.
This Crafted Oatmeal Stout pours a deep, dark color with an SRM of 50, offering a complex and rich malt profile. The blend of 37% MaltEurop Ale, 36% MaltEurop Lager, 8% Harraways rolled oats, 4% Gladfield Dark Chocolate, 4% Gladfield Light Chocolate, 4% Gladfield Dark Crystal, 4% Gladfield Eclipse Wheat, and 3% Gladfield Roast Barley malts provides a full-bodied and smooth texture with notes of chocolate, coffee, and caramel. The bitterness from NZ Hops Green Bullet™ is moderate, contributing to a balanced finish with an IBU of 30. At 4.5% ABV, this Oatmeal Stout is both satisfying and sessionable.

How to enhance flavour and profile:
For best results, brew Black Rock Crafted Oatmeal Stout with Black Rock Unhopped Malt (or a second can of Black Rock Crafted Oatmeal Stout to boost bitterness) & an 11.5g sachet of Fermentis Yeast: SafAle™ S-04.
Suggested hop additions: 50-200g of dry hop at day 6 of fermentation.
- Classic Stout: Use East Kent Goldings and/or Fuggle for a traditional earthy and floral aroma.
- American Stout: Use Cascade and/or Centennial for a bold citrus and floral character.
- Chocolate Stout: Use Willamette and/or Tettnang for a smooth and subtle chocolate note.
- Coffee Stout: Use Northern Brewer and/or Columbus for a rich coffee and earthy character.
- Spicy Stout: Use Saaz and/or Perle for a subtle spicy and herbal aroma
